My last entery in the U.S. until August

Well, I'm almost packed, got everything together and putting it all in a hiking backpack that I used while I was in Boy Scouts. Got all my checks together, a new pair of shoes for all the walking that will be done, have all my film set out, getting all my clothes together, the passport is not leaving my sight for the next two months, I've got the plane ticket (hikoki no kippu), all my contact information, confirmation numbers, toiletries, did I mention clothes and a picture of me and Cait. I've also got a pair of sunglasses that will nicely mask my blue eyes and my gawking that will be just as frequent as the people of Japan at me. Little (and I mean, damn a lot) nervous, now that it comes down to the wire it's starting to take a bit of bravery to go about this thing. My plane leaves at 8:35 AM tomorrow, making this my last dinner home, to be spent with my family (if my sister comes back from driver's ed in time.) This trip is going to be my second greatest adventure yet (the first being my freshmen year, I think that tops a foreign country 10 time zones from everyone I know) I wish everyone at home a happy and joyful summer, and please comment here or E-mail me for contact information, I'll gladly send post cards. Take care everyone,
(butta kaisao = butter stinker = the Dutch, who were the first white men to come to Japan.)
