Ten post cards are on their way, more to come for some, some to come to others. First night in Zagreb, had a wonderful pizza with cream cheese and red bell peppers... It was better than it sounds I promise. Also had a traditional desert, which was cream cheese baked in dough covered with cream, tasting much like a plain bagel with cream cheese and butter. We accidentally walked through a shrine that was dedicated to a picture of the Madonna that survived a disastrous fire that branded down an entire section of the town, but the painting emerged unharmed. We also stood atop the tower at Kaptol, which features a cannon that is fired at noon, originally to set all the clocks in the churches to the same time. Now just ceremonial. Much adventure tomorrow, and then progressively passing more and more back into civilization. Enjoy the summer weather home, it is going to get cold here.
